How accurate is the test? How well does the test perform? What is the test’s sensitivity?
The clinical performance characteristics of the OncoK9 were determined in training and validation cohorts comprising nearly 600 dogs, with and without a diagnosis of cancer, as part of the CANDiD (CANcer Detection in Dogs) Study. The validated performance of the test was shown to have an overall sensitivity of 48% and a specificity of 97%. The CANDiD Study White Paper provides more information, including subgroup analyses of performance in seven of the most common cancers in dogs and in difficult-to-diagnose cancers in dogs.
