An Indeterminate Result is reported rarely, when genomic alterations with an uncertain significance are detected. This is similar to receiving an inconclusive result from a fine needle aspirate cytology. The recommended course of action for these cases is to submit a repeat test for the patient. PetDx offers a complimentary first retest in these instances.
